Housing
A limited amount of high quality housing is available free of charge primarily to smaller schools who don't often travel. All housing is provided on a need and first-come-first-serve basis, but we will make every effort to provide housing for anyone who needs it.
It's our goal to increase debate opportunities for regional debate programs, not to put undue burdens on small programs or those who find hotel costs a barrier to participation.
If you would like to attend but are hesitant because of costs, please let us know and we'll work with your program to provide reduced fees, inexpensive food options, and housing.
Please request free housing by contacting vince at littlehawkdebate.comVince Woolums.
Special Events
UI faculty member and Professor Craig Kletzing will discuss astronomy, planetary science, nanotechnology, and astrophysics at 8pm Friday night in the Little Theater. Prof. Kletzing has managed the RBSP project with NASA and has done decades of field work in space and planetary science. We're also joined by Prof. Michael Flatte whose areas of expertise are nanotechnology research and physics
We are pleased to announce that consolation debates begin at 2pm on Saturday for any team or debater with a winning record. Consolation rounds in IE are also expected. Debate tournaments are chances to learn and practice, and what better way than to enage in a few more rounds of debate!
